Wilson SMART Commons

These projects created “SMART Commons,” classroom and study areas for computer technology at University of Minnesota Libraries.

At Wilson Library, a moveable transparent wall system preserves the main entrance lobby’s modern and spacious qualities.

Walter SMART Commons

The historic character of a significant large reading room at Walter Library was acknowledged with a modular wall system customized to compliment the building’s historic style, modeled on an original librarian's office. The project includes a computer classroom, group study rooms, open study space and library stacks.

Magrath SMART Commons

For a 1970's three story space in Magrath Library on the St. Paul Campus, a moveable wall system defines small group rooms and a staff office, and moveable furniture makes the open area a flexible space.
